I’ve done it! Have you?

I’ve registered for the Association Foundation Group (AFG) Annual National Conference. Register now through April 15th and receive the early bird rate of $249 for members. A tremendous value for a full day of personal development. Mark your calendar for the May 12th conference in DC, and register soon since our inaugural networking event on Wednesday night before the conference (included in you $249 rate) is capped at a capacity of 50 and is first come, first served!

This year’s theme: Challenge. Connect. Change.

AFG’s goal: to offer speakers who will challenge you to innovate, connect you with peers who will become your “go-to” network, and inspire you make change that takes your association foundation to the next level.

Here’s a sneak peek…

Sara Brenner, president of Community Wealth Partners, will get the day started with 10 Insights for Leading Transformational Change. She’ll share how nonprofits around our country are addressing the most pressing social problems with new ideas and inspiring leadership in her opening keynote.

Evan Burfield is the co-founder and co-CEO of 1776, a one-of-a-kind organization that has become a global incubator for social change by providing seed funding to help startups transform industries that impact millions of lives every day— in education, energy & sustainability, health, transportation and city development. Be inspired and challenged during his keynote session to think innovatively.

WorkshopsWe have nine sessions on topics including fundraising, association/foundation relations, using technology to grow and more. There are tracks targeted to newcomers to the association foundation world, as well as something new for the well-seasoned association fundraiser.

Resources… We think you’ll find the exhibitors are experts in their fields and are great resources for you to tap in to once the day is done. These are true friends of the association foundation world who are helping us see what’s possible, accomplish more, smarter and faster, and providing tools to help us succeed. Be ready to exchange business cards and LinkedIn connections to keep the learning going well past May 12th!

Networking… You asked for it and we listened. 2015 conference attendees said they wanted more time to exchange ideas with peers, so we’ve built in an evening kick-off reception on May 11th to get the connections started and the ideas flowing. We’ll be headed to ArtJamz in Dupont Circle for unique opportunity to be creative while meeting your peers. Heads up, this is a first come, first served opportunity… another reason to register for the conference early and secure your place at the reception.

Visit AFG’s website for more details and to register. It’s a day you won’t want to miss.
