AFG Dialed-In is a NEW educational series of one-hour webinars you can access from your phone, from anywhere.  AFG Dialed-In programs will be held on the third Wednesday of each month and are complimentary to AFG members. Each month we’ll discuss relevant fundraising strategies, best practices, and tips that you can act on as soon as you hang up the phone! Emails will go out each month with the topic, leader, and dial-in instructions. So be on the lookout for this great new resource.

Speaker: Kevin Whorton, President, Whorton Research

Kevin has worked with 450 charitable organizations and associations, having conducted more than 600 quantitative and qualitative research projects for nonprofit clients. As former head of a $65 million annual fundraising program at CRS and former chair of the DMA Nonprofit Federation, he brings a mix of theoretical research and applied fundraising experience to the topic. Kevin is an active ASAE and CalSAE member and leader for the ASAE Component Relations and Volunteer Management Council (CRVM). His consulting firm provides strategic and operational research, and advises organizations on internal structure, process, and audience management issues.

 

Moderator: Robert A. Vitas, PhD, CAE, CFRE, Executive Director, American Academy of Periodontology Foundation

Bob Vitas has worked in nonprofits and foundations most of his professional life, including directing Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children: The Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Vitas has served on several nonprofit boards. Among other volunteer roles with the Association Forum of Chicagoland's, he co-chaired the Foundation & Development Shared Interest Group, and now serves on the CAE Working Group. Dr. Vitas earned his PhD in political science at Loyola University of Chicago and has published extensively. He served as an enlisted man and commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve.
