AFG Educational Breakfast Program: Integrating Social Media into Your Year End Giving
This is an AFG BOGO event: buy one registration and get one for free – bring a co-worker or peer.
Now is the time to finalize your plans for year-end giving and that includes maximizing online communications. When you use social media you first need to consider “What are you trying to accomplish by being online?” This education session will help you answer that important question as well as others. Which platforms should you be on? How often should you post? What should you post? How do you drive people to your Giving Tuesday appeal?
This interactive presentation will explore the unique challenges and opportunities that foundations face when communicating online, such as who should foundations try to reach online; how much time and resources should foundations invest in their online presence; whether a foundation should have its own social media presence distinct from its sister association; and how your social media plan fits into your year-end giving strategies from Giving Tuesday to a final year-end charitable deduction appeal.

He coauthored The TV Guide to Telling Your Organization’s Story, with his partner Megan McDonald.
