Screening and Planned Giving: Using The Most Predictive Data for Prospecting

Many associations are grappling with waves of retirements by industry leaders and have concerns about where the next generation will come from. In the meantime, many of their related foundations are trying to figure out how to best solicit those retiring leaders for a planned gift before they leave. How do you search for planned giving prospects? What are some of the common traits to look for in your current donors? Do you have member/non-donors who might actually be good planned giving prospects? See what can happen when the most predictive external screening information is overlaid with historical giving data as Garet Turner of the ASAE Research Foundation and Andy Suther of DonorSearch share their results from a collaborative project with the ASAE database, and how it has impacted their planned giving strategy.
