Natalie Zundel, CFRE is the former Director of Development at the American Society for Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Foundation, where the mission is to provide humanitarian eye care to those in need. Passionate about fundraising’s impact on society, and with over a decade of development experience, Natalie is implementing a donor-centered fundraising model through annual, major, and planned gifts.
Prior to joining the ASCRS Foundation in August 2016, Natalie was the Executive Vice President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Foundation where she lead a team of fundraisers in executing a multi-stream fundraising strategy. Before that, she managed the major gift program at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. And her entry into the fundraising world was as the Development Director for the DC-based nonprofit, Urban Alliance. During her tenure there, she more than doubled the revenue for the organization, allowing the program to expand from a local to regional focus.
Natalie holds a B.A. and M.S.W. from the University of Michigan and earned her CFRE in 2013. In addition to AFG, she is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
